Build Your Core,
One Week at a Time

Build core strength week by week with this progressive yoga plan. Three core stability yoga classes per week are designed to strengthen your abs, support your lower back, and improve balance. Follow the classes in order, complete each one at least once, and repeat anytime — consistency and repetition build lasting strength.

week 1

Start slow and take your time. Breathe deep through your nose during every class.
Do each class once this week (in order), and repeat any if you have the time or desire.

Hips and Core Slow Flow

Focus your attention on gently engaging the core with every exhale as you flow through this hip health supporting series.

Gut Buster

Core strengthening moves coupled with deep twists will fire up your belly muscles and promote digestion.

Breath & Core

Core activation in yoga is intimately connected to the breath. Take a full 75 minutes to cultivate this very important connection.

week 2

we’re kicking it up a notch. You may start to feel more heat and a little more challenge, so stay steady with your breath and move with control. Follow the classes in order, complete each one at least once this week, and repeat any that feel good or help you build confidence.

Get Stronger Abs

A strong core sits at the throne of full body strength. Yoga asks your whole body to move in a symphony and a strong core conducts it.

Week 3

This is where things get interesting. You’ll be trying your first FlowLIFT class, so keep your breath steady and your movement controlled. You can go without weights or grab 2–3 lb dumbbells and a pair of 1.5–2.5 lb ankle weights. Follow the classes in order, complete each one at least once this week, and repeat any that help you feel more stable and connected.

Float and Fly

Learn to engage your core and press into the earth in order to float and fly through your yoga practice and out in the world.

Arm Balance-a-thon

Arm balances are fun to try while building upper body and core strength. Try this class several times and learn to fly!

Purple Rain

A Level 1 FlowLIFT to wake up your core, strengthen your abs, and build stability with simple, controlled movement.

Week 4

We’re finishing strong. These classes are more challenging but totally doable, and we’re throwing in a full-throttle 25-minute FlowLIFT to bring it all together. Ankle weights and dumbbells are optional, but recommended. Follow the classes in order, complete each one once this week, and repeat anytime you want a little extra heat.

Tone Your Arms and Abs

Arms & abs on fire! This yoga flow targets your core and upper body with strength-building moves that tone, sculpt, and shake.

Advanced Core Challenge

Combine conscious breathing with an active center to develop a strong core and lower back.

frequently asked questions

Starting a new yoga program should feel simple, clear, and supportive. Below are some common questions about our Yoga for Core Strength collection — including how the four-week progression works, access to your classes, and ways to keep building strength with büddhi. If you’re new to core stability yoga or returning after time away, these answers will help you get started with confidence.

should I ask my doc before starting Yoga for Core Strength?

If you have any injuries, medical conditions, or concerns, we always recommend checking with your doctor or healthcare provider before beginning any new exercise program. Most people can safely practice beginner core strength yoga, but listening to your body — and your provider — is always a smart first step.

Is this program beginner-friendly?

This program is best suited for students who already have some yoga or fitness experience. The classes build progressively and can feel more challenging as you move through the four weeks. If it feels like too much, we recommend starting with the Intro to Büddhi program, the Healthy Heart collection, or the Healthy Lower Back collection. These programs help prepare your body, build a strong foundation, and support you in moving into Yoga for Core Strength safely and successfully.

How is the program structured?

The Yoga for Core Strength collection includes four weeks of classes, with three yoga sessions per week. Each class is meant to be completed in order so you can safely build strong abs, better balance, and a healthy, supported lower back.

Do I need equipment for these classes?

Most classes only require a yoga mat and space to move. When FlowLIFT is introduced later in the program, light dumbbells and ankle weights are optional but recommended to help build deeper core strength and stability. You can visit the büddhi shop to grab the ankle weights we love and use in class so you’re fully set up for the progression.

How often should I repeat the program?

Many students revisit the four-week progression multiple times. Repetition helps reinforce core stability, improve posture, and build lasting strength through consistent yoga practice.

Will I always have access to these classes?

Yes — this is a forever-access collection. Once you purchase, you can return to this page anytime and repeat the program whenever you want to rebuild strength or stay consistent with your practice.

What if I want more classes after I finish?

You can upgrade to a full büddhi membership anytime to unlock our entire library of yoga and FlowLIFT classes while still maintaining access to this Core Strength page.

What if I want to try something different?

You can purchase another forever-access collection — like Healthy Lower Back or other specialty programs — or join the monthly or annual membership for full access to all yoga and FlowLIFT content.
